Privacy

Perch keeps the smallest amount of information it can: an email address to sign you in, and what you choose to record in the product.

What Perch collects

• Email address — the only thing you give us to sign in. Perch sends a single-use sign-in link to it; there are no passwords. The address is your account identifier.
• What you do in the product — your watchlist, the observations you open, journal entries you choose to record, and notification settings. This is your data; you can export it as CSV from the dashboard and ask us to delete it.
• Anonymous product events on this site — a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie), plus which call-to-action you clicked. It is not linked to your email until you sign in, and it is used to understand the sign-up path, not to advertise to you.
• Operational logs — standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept briefly for security and reliability.

What Perch does not do

• No brokerage connection. Perch never asks for, holds, or uses a brokerage login or API key.
• No selling of personal data, no advertising networks, no third-party tracking pixels.
• No cookies on perchmarkets.com. The dashboard sets one session cookie so you stay signed in.

Who processes data on our behalf

• Cloudflare hosts this site and the dashboard.
• DigitalOcean hosts the API and the journal.
• Resend delivers sign-in emails.
• Alpaca, Coinbase, Kraken, Finnhub supply market data. They receive requests for prices, never your identity.

Your choices

Sign out at any time; export your journal from the dashboard; email us to delete your account and its data. Deletion removes your email, watchlist, journal, and notification settings from our systems and backups on their normal rotation.
